Rev. Donghwan Moon

Pastor Brian joined Light Presbyterian Church (Korean ministry of NHF) pastoral team in March 2018. He is currently the Lead Pastor at New Hope Fellowship Uptown Campus. Brian and his wife, Grace, grew up in Toronto, and they have 3 children together: Onyu, Soyu, and Jiyu. Brian was an active jazz guitarist in the GTA, and eventually went to seminary at Tyndale Seminary. He was the session guitarists for albums such as “Priceless” (True Worshipers 12, 2013), “Rise Again” (Sunnie, 2013), “Can I Sing For You?” (Yoojin Cho, 2012), and has performed regularly with Juno Award nominees/winners such as Pat LaBarbera, Kirk MacDonald, Alison Young, Tyler Yarema, Dave Restivo, Artie Roth, Nick Maclean, and current bassist for Shawn Mendes, David Haskett. He has also collaborated with Korean worship band, AGAPAO, where he worked with Korean pop singer, Jadu. Brian’s focus of interest in ministry is participating in urban missions in the GTA, cultivating Kingdom culture within/outside the church, and helping Christians to display the Gospel message in both word and deed. He is very passionate about various kinds of creative art form, and enjoys reading, chatting, playing basketball, and most importantly, having a cup of coffee!
